Asian wedding photography and film

Asian Wedding Photographer in Harrow

Photography and film for Nikkah, Anand Karaj and Hindu weddings across Harrow, Kenton, Pinner and Stanmore, from a London studio that has worked since 2000.

A Harrow wedding rarely happens in one room

Memory Filming photographs and films Asian weddings in Harrow, from a Nikkah to an Anand Karaj and a full Hindu wedding. One crew from our Brentford studio covers the ceremony, the reception and the hours between, and replies with a straight price within one working day.

A wedding in Harrow often moves between a family home, a temple or Gurdwara, a register office and a banqueting hall, sometimes over two or three days. Each place has its own light, its own rules and its own idea of how long a ceremony should take. We plan for all of it before the day, so nobody is explaining the order of service to a photographer while the family waits.

If a civil registration comes first, the slot decides everything that follows. The Pavilion on College Road is the Harrow register office. It seats up to 50 people, it is a one minute walk from Harrow on the Hill station, and Harrow Council lists Saturday ceremonies in the morning only. We build your timeline backwards from that slot, so the move to a hall or Gurdwara never starts with the family already late.

Harrow School is also a licensed ceremony venue, and Harrow Council lists its spaces from 5 to 500 guests. Large country style grounds like these usually come with rules about where cameras can stand and when flash is allowed. We ask the venue before the day, not during the vows.

We have filmed and photographed more than 9,700 weddings since 2000, including 3,300 Asian ceremonies across six traditions. That experience is what lets us tell you, before you book, whether a morning Nikkah, afternoon portraits and an evening reception will fit together or need a different order.

Ceremonies we cover in Harrow

Every tradition has one moment that cannot be repeated. We plan around that moment first and fit everything else around it.

  • 01

    Nikkah and Walima

We shoot the Nikkah on long lenses from the back of the room, with no flash and nobody asked to repeat the qubool hai. The Walima gets its own plan, with the family tables, the speeches and the entrance covered by a separate eye.

  • 02

    Anand Karaj

We know where to stand in a Gurdwara, when to sit and which angle keeps the Guru Granth Sahib respectful in frame. Two operators mean no laavan is covered from only one side.

  • 03

    Hindu weddings

A mandap fire, coloured drapes and a ceremony that can run for hours make a hard lighting problem. We light for it instead of fighting it, from the baraat and milni to the pheras.

  • 04

    Mehndi and Gaye Holud

The best frames at a Holud are rarely of the couple. They are of the aunts. We staff these events like a documentary shoot, not a portrait session.

  • 05

    Thirumanam

Muhurtham timings are set by the almanac, often before sunrise. We arrive on the ceremony clock, not the venue clock.

  • 06

    Civil and English weddings

A register office ceremony followed by a religious one is common in Harrow. One team and one look across both, so the two halves feel like one film and one gallery.

Ways we cover your day

Every package is quoted in writing for your events, your hours and your venues. These are the three shapes most couples choose between.

We don't publish prices, because no two of these weddings are the same. Tell us the date, the venue and how many events you are running, and we will send an itemised quote with nothing to decode.

Questions

Before you ask.

How much does an Asian wedding photographer cost in Harrow?

The price depends on how many events you want covered, the hours, the crew size and whether you want film as well as photography. We send a written price within one working day of hearing your date and venue. Our photo and film packages explain what each option includes.

Can you photograph a civil ceremony followed by a religious one?

Yes. This is common in Harrow. Harrow Council advises that where a faith ceremony is not recognised under English law, the civil marriage should be arranged first, and Saturday register office slots are in the morning. We plan the religious ceremony, travel and reception around that slot.

Do you cover Hindu, Sikh and Muslim weddings in Harrow?

Yes. We cover Hindu weddings, Anand Karaj, Nikkah and Walima, Gaye Holud and Thirumanam, along with civil and English weddings. We plan each one around its key moment and ask the family and the venue about rules before the day.

How many photographers do we need for a large Asian wedding?

For a reception of 300 guests or more, we recommend a second photographer so the stage, the guests and the couple are all covered. For an Anand Karaj we use two operators so each laavan is seen from both sides.

Can you provide both photography and film?

Yes. One crew, one plan and one point of contact for both. It also means the photographer and the film team never get in each other way at a ceremony.

Where can we take portraits between ceremonies in Harrow?

Couples often use the grounds of Harrow School where the venue allows it, the area around the church on Harrow Hill, and Canons Park, a Grade II registered park near Canons Park station. Access and permission differ by place and date, so we check before booking time into the schedule.

Do you travel to Harrow from Brentford?

Yes. Our studio is on the Great West Road in Brentford and we cover Harrow, Kenton, Pinner, Stanmore and the rest of North West London. Any travel is set out in your written quote.
