Water, open grounds, several interior spaces, all reading differently on camera. Three Rivers gave us plenty to work with across the day, drone footage over the grounds in the quieter afternoon hours, handheld once the ceremony started. Muslim weddings often move through distinct chapters in a single day, and this one did too, a nikkah with close family present, a larger celebration later as more guests arrived.

Structuring the film meant thinking about that shift in scale from the start, tighter and more intimate early on, opening up as the room filled. March weather in the UK doesn't make promises, so we built in indoor contingency shots, though the grounds held up fine in the end. By evening the energy had climbed considerably, and Three Rivers' interiors gave us strong light to work with after dark. Family reactions got most of our attention throughout, aunts, parents, the unscripted stuff, because those are usually the shots a couple comes back to years later, more than the posed ones.
