The mandap at Syon Park went up to make full use of the venue's natural light, and camera positions were planned in advance to capture both the wide shot of the ritual and closer, more personal reactions as each of the seven rounds completed. A pandit guided the ceremony throughout, and his pacing set the rhythm of the coverage rather than a faster edit imposed on top of it.

June weather gave strong, consistent light across the whole day, useful for both the ceremony indoors and portraits across Syon Park's grounds afterward. Family involvement ran deep, as it typically does in a Hindu wedding, parents assisting with specific rituals, relatives gathered close around the mandap, and the coverage kept that presence clearly visible rather than kept at the margins. The reception moved outside onto the grounds for part of the afternoon before returning indoors as evening approached, giving the film a genuine range of settings across a single day.
