A nikkah with close family, a larger walima once the marriage itself was formalised. Rania and Ismail's day followed a shape we've filmed many times, though we treated the two halves quite differently in how we shot them. The nikkah called for restraint, steady cameras, minimal movement, letting the reading of terms and the exchange of consent carry the moment without extra noise around it.

August heat in London makes a long ceremony day demanding for everyone, guests and crew alike, so equipment and positioning were planned to work efficiently without needing a reset between segments. Once the walima began the tone flipped entirely, music, a filled hall, family greeting the couple as they walked in, and the shot selection opened up to match, wider lenses, more movement, the room taken in as a whole rather than isolated moment by moment. Entrances at a reception like this carry real weight, and that part of the schedule got protected rather than rushed.
