A working gurdwara isn't just a wedding venue. It's a place of worship on every other day of the year, and filming there means working inside that fact from the first hymn to the last. We kept our footprint small at Sri Guru Singh Sabha, minimal movement, cameras positioned so nothing crossed in front of the Guru Granth Sahib during any of the four Lavaan.

The morning matters just as much as the ceremony itself in a Sikh wedding, the groom's baraat arriving, the milni between families, and we were in position early enough that none of it got missed. Inside, each Lavaan ran a little slower than the last, building toward the final round and the couple's vows. We leaned on long, held shots rather than quick cuts, because the ceremony doesn't rush and the film shouldn't either. Langar afterward in the community hall was a different kind of footage entirely, warm and unposed. Cutting between the two gave the film its real shape: sacred first, then shared.
